WWE Fumbles Ricochet to the End, Stars of the Future Wow and More Raw Takes | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors

June 10, 2024 may be the last time Ricochet appears on WWE television.

It is a shame because he showed serious promise as the premier high-flyer in the business, but WWE never could capitalize beyond solid but forgettable midcard title reigns.

The problem for The One and Only is that the company was never willing to commit to him as a performer, driven by his limited promo skills.

In the WWE environment, he was never going to be quite good enough. It was not ready to make him the next Rey Mysterio or Jeff Hardy as the speedster whose performances were enough to elevate him without a microphone.

Ricochet can find that success outside WWE where in-ring work is at a much higher premium, but his next move will be crucial.

If he goes to All Elite Wrestling, he needs to be featured on a regular basis and treated as the absolute speedster in the business. He also needs to deliver strong promos on occasion.

In New Japan Pro-Wrestling or the wider independent scene, he can be a champion quickly, but he won't get as many chances to push himself as a character worker.

At 35 years old and working a style that puts heavy pressure on his body, the next couple years could be his last great work. He will need to make the most of his next opportunity.

Maybe if Ricochet does return to WWE down the line, he will have made a statement loud enough to redefine his legacy.
