Vincent Gigante Daughter Stella Gigante

Stella Gigante falls in love with a young African-American musician named Teddy Greene.

However, she is forced to keep their relationship a secret from her family and neighborhood.

The main idea of the storyline is to portray the extremely forbidden love story and what life was like in the 1960s.

Stella develops the guts to rebel against her father despite coming from a family where interracial partnerships are not accepted openly.

Before the Loving v. Virginia Supreme Court ruling in 1967, interracial marriage was strongly prohibited in the United States.

There is an incident in the series when Stella visits Teddy's family for the first time. During that time, she realizes her true privilege as things are easier for her because she has white skin.

Furthermore, Greene's mother points these things out to her. She also warns them that if they stay a couple, it would be hard for not only them but their kids in future.

The couple fights for their love desperately. In the end, Teddy gets shot and the love story reaches a tragic ending.

Unfortunately for the fans who dug for them to end up together, Stella Gigante and Teddy Greene could not get married.
