Verizon customers in several zip codes throughout metro Atlanta reported interruptions in call and text services early Thursday morning. Members of 11Alive's team were also affected by the outage.

A Verizon spokesperson confirmed the outage though could not confirm how many customers or which zipcodes were affected:
Verizon Wireless experienced interruption in 3G1X voice and data service for some customers throughout metro Atlanta early this morning. Engineers were able to identify and resolve the issue promptly and service was restored by 6:25 AM EST.
