Remote and relaxed, the Owl at Hawnby is a well-dressed country inn with moorland views worth travelling for. Kitchen gardens, homemade charcuterie and a ‘barter board’ put food front and centre, while the dining room and stupendous outdoor terrace are a delight to linger in after a day walking in the North York Moors.
