After starring in Knight Rider for four years, David Hasselhoff switched TV roles - citing a worry that he was becoming lumbered with his co-starring car.
Clearly he was also felt encumbered by his clothes, as the Hoff's next leading turn was in Baywatch, a show in which shots of his pileous pecs came with the regularity of ocean waves hitting a sandy beach.
