The Best Beauty Looks From the 2024 Oscars

At the 2024 Oscars, stars served up a major lineup of fashion moments topped off by equally extraordinary beauty looks.

Soft glamour was all over the red carpet. Emma Stone, nominated for Best Actress for Poor Things, sported fluttery lashes, a flushed (and freckled!) glow, and a bright pink lip, while Issa Rae, who appears in three of the night’s nominated films (Barbie, American Fiction, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse), wore a tall woven updo that showcased her cat eyes and glossy nude lip. Of course, Anya Taylor Joy brought classic glamour, opting for a classic Old Hollywood formula — smoky eyes paired with petal pink cheeks and lips — above her retro-inspired silver embellished Christian Dior gown. 

The night wasn’t without its bolder moments. Living legend Rita Moreno debuted a jet-black dye job, Best Supporting Actress nominee Da'Vine Joy Randolph was a va-va-voom vision with her voluminous side-swept wave, and Ariana Grande channeled her Wicked character Glinda the Good Witch donning bleached brows and a ringlet-y updo.

For her big night, Best Actress nominee Emma Stone wore a pretty-in-pink makeup look featuring a freckled glow and rosy lip featuring Charlotte Tilbury's new Pillow Talk Big Lip Plumpgasm coming next month.

Billie Eilish

The "What Was I Made For?" singer wore rumpled waves with washes of bright pink blush, voluminous lashes, and a nude-lined lip.

Rita Moreno

Ahead of the 2024 Oscars, Rita Moreno teased that she'd be debuting a dramatic new look. And going from her natural silver to a deep jet-black hair color, she certainly delivered.

Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy's classic Hollywood makeup look was punctuated by her dusty pink lip, achieved with a combination of Dior's Lip Glow balm in #028 Minty Rose, Lip Glow Oil in #012 Rosewood, and Rouge Dior Contour in #100 Nude Look.

Quannah Chasinghorse

Model and actress Quannah Chasinghorse's signature lengths featured a zig-zag part and face-framing beaded braids. Her crimson-flipped eyeliner was echoed in her brick-red lip.

Cynthia Erivo

Playing off the color of her Louis Vuitton gown, Cynthia Erivo wore razor-sharp flicks of emerald green eyeliner, further punctuated by full and voluminous lashes.

Ariana Grande

Channeling her character Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked, Ariana Grande wore bleached brows and an ethereal ringlety updo.

Da'Vine Joy Randolph

Inspired by Old Hollywood star Mae West, Da'Vine Joy Randolph wore cat eyes (etched on with  Lancôme Idôle Liner  in 01 Glossy Black), glossy lined lips, and side-swept platinum waves.

Gabrielle Union

Regal and powerful, Gabrielle Union's top knot was crafted by hairstylist Larry Sims using the Kristin Ess Hair 3-In-One Flat iron and a 22-inch wrap-around textured ponytail for added thickness and volume.

Florence Pugh

According to her hairstylist, Adir Abergel, Florence Pugh's voluminous, side-parted bob was a nod to Madonna in the early '90s. Her lengths were prepped with the new Virtue Damage Reverse Serum and finished with the Healing Oil for a smooth, high-shine finish.

Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence embraced a classic Dior Makeup look with a sculpted glow, inky cat eyes, and a petal pink lip.

Kirsten Dunst

Looking like a modern-day Veronica Lake, Kirsten wore a red matte lip with her golden blonde waves swept in a deep center part.

Lily Gladstone

To give Lily Gladstone timeless soft waves, hairstylist Marc Mena used Better Not Younger styling products, including Lift Me Up Hair Thickener and Wake Up Call High-Hold Thickening Hairspray. “I added a tiny braid underneath her hair as a nod to Indigenous people and for luck,” said Mena. “You won’t be able to see it, but it’s there."
