Personal Statement
To Whom it may concern,
Hello! My name is Skyler Parks. I play football and am hoping to be a college football player. I am seventeen years old. I attend Canton Mckinley High School, one of the most premier high schools in the nation. I have been a varsity starter on the football team for three years now. I play left guard, but am a very versatile player. As you can see on my profile I am not the ideal size, but I make up for it in strength, technique, and determination. My freshman year I was the starting middle linebacker. Things happened on the team to where I made a postion change to the offensive line. It was not my ideal move, but I did what was best for the team. I have the quickness off of the line to be a defensive lineman, a postion I also have excelled in in times past. In my years playing offensive line, however, l have excelled. As a junior six foot guard I made first team all federal league, first team all county, first team all northeastern inland district, and honorable mention all ohio. I feel very honored to be given these accolades, but I know that hard work pays off. This year will be a successful one.
What I can bring to a team is an attitude, an edge, a winning mentality. I am a natural born leader. I have a great personality that almost draws people into me. I am far from a trouble maker. I will not jeopardise your team. I have a high energy always which feeds my hungry work ethic. I will work hard in whatever I do and give my best no matter what situations I am in. If possible I would like to stay close to home. I have a very close relationship with my family and I would like them to stay in a postion to where they can come to my aid whenever needed. If not possible I would like to go anywhere that offers my major, which will be either culinary arts or human relations, offers me enough amount of money because my family is far from rich, and can compete competitively in there division. I would like to play as a freshman, but I am willing to take some time to better myself as a player if that does not happen.
Hopefully, everything I have said is satisfactory in what you are looking for and gives you a general idea of who I am. "Heart and Determination Conquers All", a quote I live by, lets me know that as long as I try earnestly at something I have a chance to achieve it.
