Personal Statement
Dear Coaches,
As a member of the varsity volleyball team at Freedom High School I am beginning my search for a college where I can develop my skills and strengths in volleyball.
My academic goal to pursue is to major in nursing or teaching. I am currently looking for a college with a phenomenal program for either major I decide to choose. I am very open to different types of schools with volleyball, nursing, and teaching.
Volleyball has become an extreme part of my life from the moment I first began playing in the sixth grade, 5 years ago. My freshman year of highschool I played on my first club volleyball team as an outside hitter and outside passer for Arugula on an eighteens team . I also played outside for Freedom's freshman volleyball team. My sophomore year, I played JV volleyball for my highschool, as well as a sixteen's club team called Uncommon Synergy where I changed positions and began to play middle hitter. My sophomore year on JV, I won the MVP award and I was a team captain. I am currently a junior in highschool playing on the Varsity team as a middle hitter/blocker. I am 67 inches tall and 145 pounds. This year, Freedom's Varsity team has won a 1st place trophy in the silver bracket at a tournament. Throughout my years of volleyball, I can say that I have been a positive impact on the team; I believe in keeping a positive attitude, hardworker, and being an encouraging teammate. I put forth my best effort and do my best to create unity upon the players too.
My goals athletically are to be accepted into a college to be able to play volleyball as a freshman and to play on the highest competition level. I am extremely dedicated to playing volleyball and the recruiting system where I will drive myself each and every day to be the best volleyball player I can be. I am a dedicated player and one to trust to be there for each training, practice, or game.
I look forward to hearing from you. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
