New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is not the biological father of a baby girlfriend Ricki Noel Lander had last year. A spokesperson for Kraft released a statement to Emily Smith of Page Six on Wednesday night.
"Last fall, Ricki Noel Lander became the proud mother of a beautiful, healthy baby. While Robert Kraft is not the biological father, he is thrilled with Ricki's blessing of having a healthy child. With respect to her family's privacy, we will not be commenting any further."
No further details on the baby's biological father were released.
Sources told Smith that Lander, 38, has been "very open about her desire for a child" during her five-year relationship with Kraft, 76. The Patriots owner has taken "full care of Ricki and the baby" since the birth, and the couple is expected to attend the Oscars together in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
Another source explained to Page Six that his four adult sons believe their father may alter the family trust to support the actress' child.
While information about their relationship has remained scarce, friends of Lander told Smith she's provided Kraft with "companionship and happiness" since his wife of 48 years, Myra, died in 2011.
