Personal Statement
Some things that set me apart from other student athletes are that I am an excellent student, very well rounded, and I have the physical and mental attributes required to succeed at the collegiate level. I have a 3.8 GPA at a rigorous college prep school, I start 3 varsity sports (golf, basketball, soccer), and I am a member of my school's chamber orchestra which is one of the best in the state. I am coachable, competitive, and mentally tough, all characteristics needed to be a great keeper. While my experience in soccer may be less than some recruits, I have excelled quickly at this sport and have tremendous upside with the right coaching and opportunity. In only my second season playing soccer, I am already one of the top keepers in my classification. I will not be one of the many players that peak in high school. My coach has described me as having excellent instincts, toughness and physicality, and not being afraid of contact. I have proven in all 3 of the sports that I play that I can respond to a coach's feedback and implement it into my game quickly. I would be a valuable asset to a college team because I bring discipline, hard work and character, as well as my athletic build and ability.
