Erik ten Hag is confident that Marcus Rashford will “be on fire” soon amid a dip in form for the Manchester United forward.
After scoring 30 goals in 56 games last season, Rashford has only managed to find the net once in nine matches in 2023-24.
Rashford’s struggles have mirrored that of United, with Ten Hag’s side losing six of their 10 games this season.
“There is the team and him, and there’s both,” Ten Hag said. “It’s normal you are not always right in the same levels and everyone knows his qualities and if Rashy does the things right and the team does, it’s up to him, we have seen in the last weeks he is coming in good positions, he is struggling but it will pass.
“Everyone knows the qualities, everyone at Man United backs him, the whole team supports him and believes in him, I am sure with that it will change and this will pass.
“It’s always so, strikers when they don’t score for a moment, they need that, they need one goal, then they step over.
“It will come, he is so experienced and when he is doing the right things and he is doing the right things, the momentum will come and he will be on fire.”
