Merle Hinkle Green Death – Merle Hinkle Green, a cherished spirit who was revered for her grace and kindness, passed away without any pain or suffering on December 13, 2023, when she was 94 years old. Having been born on March 5, 1929 in Holmes County, Florida, Merle Urquhart was the cherished daughter of her parents, Sam and Ora Urquhart.
Bethlehem High School, located in Holmes County, Florida, was the culmination of her academic commitment during her formative years, which culminated in her graduation from the school. Known for her warmth and elegance, Merle exemplified hospitality and left an indelible impression on those she came in contact with.
As an avid reader, she discovered that books brought her both comfort and joy. Her active participation in church activities was a clear indication of the fervent faith she held throughout her life. On the other hand, the things that brought her the most happiness were the straightforward pleasures of cooking and the moments that she spent with her family and friends.
As of right now, Merle is at peace, reunited with her departed loved ones, which include her husband Lawrence “L.M.” Green Jr., her parents Sam and Ora Urquhart, her brother Jim Urquhart, her sister Helen McIntosh, a bonus daughter Beverly Forbes, and James Hinkle, the father of her children.
Teresa Poston (Phil) of Clarksville, Tennessee; William Hinkle (Paula) of Haines City, Florida; Tamesia Irwin (Ed) of Winter Haven, Florida; Larry Green (Helen) of Lake Butler, Florida; and Pamela Waters (Jerry) of Lake Hamilton, Florida are the children she leaves behind. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth.
Her sister, Ruth Daniel, is also among those who survive her. In addition, Merle is fondly remembered by a large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a large circle of friends and relative acquaintances. At the Village Church of God in Winter Haven, there will be a visitation on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. This is in memory of Merle, who passed away.
Immediately after that, at eleven o’clock in the morning, Pastor Josh Hollingsworth and Pastor Dale Broom will preside over the funeral service, which will culminate in her burial at Lakeside Cemetery in Winter Haven, Florida. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to pay tribute to Merle’s life are encouraged to make a donation to the Winter Haven Mission or Good Shepherd Hospice. This will allow them to embody her spirit of generosity and compassion toward those who are in need.
