Personal Statement
I always knew that I would go to college. In recent years I have determined that I would get a business degree. One thing that I never expected was how much I would love swimming. I started swimming right before 6th grade. I have learned to enjoy the training, in and out of the pool, along with the camaraderie of being on a team. I have had to work very hard to get myself to the same skill level as swimmers who have been swimming for longer than me and with this my main goal is to always keep improving and that is a huge motivator.
When I started high school I was hit with the realization that each grade counts. My Sophomore year I took an honors and an AP class and succeeded in both. As a Junior I am going to be taking 4 weighted and honors classes. As you know swimming is a very time consuming sport and I have learned to manage my time between challenging classing and several practices a day.
My biggest motivation is my desire to win. But when I don't win, there is a lesson in losing.
