Personal Statement
My name is Mason Kelly. I was born in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, I lived there for 3 months after birth, then moved to Severna Park, Maryland and have been here ever since. I've been a multi-sport athlete ever since I was eligible to play sports, but my love for soccer was more prevalent than the other sports I played which were: Lacrosse (stopped 2014), Swimming, Basketball (stopped 2013), and Baseball (stopped 2013). These activities have contributed greatly to my athletic ability. But soccer has kept me going, I stopped playing all those sports so I could focus on my game. I have a strong love and passion for the game. When I'm not at practice or doing my school work, I'm usually in the backyard or out with friends taking shots and knocking the ball around. I have a very positive attitude not just on the field but off it as well. I always encourage my team push extra hard in practice so we'll be ready the next game. My attitude helps me out off the field in contributing in and around my community doing volunteer work such as helping out the local elderly clubs with fundraisers, and participating in school wide events. I do very well in school and always do my homework on time as well as studying for tests everyday leading up until the test is given .My goal for my soccer career is to play in at a college level and to do something involved with soccer after my career. Through all these experiences, I have been able to become a better leader, a better person, better student, and a better player.
