Nicole Torres and Mark Pilgrim’s union was one of the longest celebrity marriages in Hollywood. They were together for nearly 13 years, finally tying the knot on July 7th, 2007 in Mauritius.
Theirs was a long relationship full of many successes, disappointments, joys, and sorrows that would eventually lead to their separation.

Mark Pilgrim: A cancer warrior
Mark Pilgrim died at the age of 53. e started his 2022 year with planning to mark 33 years in remission. Unfortunately, he announced that he had been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in February.
When Mark was diagnosed with lung cancer, the doctor gave him three months to live. The managing director of HOT 102.7 FM told a news channel on Sunday, March 6, 2023, that “he was determined to try everything.”
Mark opened up about his cancer journey to the public before he launched a YouTube video series covering his cancer treatment.
In the description, he wrote that this section of his Youtube channel is for everyone suffering from lung cancer or supporting someone who is.
That part of the channel covers my journey and desires to find positivity. The part is named Mark’s Cancer Journey-2022.
Mark was also open to discussing his journey with the media, hoping to spread awareness. In March 2022, he revealed to YOU magazine that he was initially not expecting it but felt better prepared this time.
Mark told the magazine, “This time around, I know the journey. It doesn’t make it less scary, but I’m not as naïve, strong, and scared. The two run side by side. I acknowledge both emotions, and that makes me stronger. You have the will to fight even harder when you’re scared.”
After spending weeks in ICU recovering from multiple procedures to assist a collapsed lung, Mark remained optimistic, saying, “It’s a process. For some people, it’s quicker – I’m one of the longer patients, but I just have to hang tight.”
Mark also announced that due to his health and hospital stay, he had to postpone participating in a medical trial based in the Netherlands for targeted lung cancer therapy.
On New Year’s Eve, Mark was approached by a news channel for an interview after running home from the hospital.
At that moment, he thanked the news channel for reaching him. He was happy to do interviews. Mark said that he was a little man-down with little energy.
After weeks later, the radio host took his last breath with his fiancee, Adrienne Watkins, by his side.
The tributes to the radio host echoed the emotions of his resilience, with Madurai emphasizing that “Mark was a fighter.”
Hot 102.7 FM later uploaded a video tribute to Pligrim’s set to a melodic version of Journey’s ‘Do Not Stop Believing,’ a slogan Mark adopted during his journey.

Mark and Nicole have two children together. Their first daughter was born in 2015, named Taylea Jean Pilgrim, and their second daughter, Alyssa Pilgrim, was born in 2018.
Pilgrim and Torres were very protective of their children’s privacy and tried to keep them out of the spotlight as much as possible.
