ATLANTA — Lime e-bike and e-scooter riders are now able to support mentorships for Atlanta children.

Lime announced a partnership with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta on Tuesday called the "Lime Hero" program. This partnership will allow riders to opt-in to round up the cost of their rides. The company will then donate the difference to the organization, according to a release.

Atlanta riders can contribute by tapping the "Donate" button in the menu of the Lime app to join the program.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta works to facilitate mentoring relationships to inspire and empower the potential within a child. "We are excited to partner with Lime to defend the potential of young people throughout metro Atlanta," Johnson said. "This partnership will raise awareness of our agency and its portfolio of mentoring programs, which reaches youth in schools and communities across Atlanta."

According to a release, Big Brothers Big Sisters plans to serve more than 2,000 children from 12 metro Atlanta counties this year.

The partnership is the latest in Lime's global roundup donation program. According to a release, the program is now live in nearly 100 markets and across more than 10 countries. So far, more than 85,000 Lime Hero riders have raised more than $380,000 for various non-profit organizations.
