Who is the Life On The Edge narrator?

Actress Rebecca Ferguson is the Life On The Edge narrator. She’s known for starring in Dune, Life, The Snowman, The Greatest Showman, The Lady and the Panda and Mission: Impossible – Fallout.

The Swedish-born movie star, 40, began her acting career with the Swedish soap opera Nya Tider and went on to appear in the slasher film Drowning Ghost. She is also a mom to son, Isac Hallberg.

It was 2013 when she came to international recognition as Elizabeth Woodville in British drama The White Queen, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Miniseries or Television Film.

Rebecca Ferguson’s ‘soft voice’ was ideal

Rebecca’s voiceover has “strength and softness” while her Anglo-Swedish roots gives the narration an “essential authenticity,” revealed Life On The Edge series producer Tuppence Stone.

“She was able to effortlessly pronounce most Scandinavia phrases. Although even Rebecca needed help from a native Icelandic speaker to deliver ancient poetic Norse!” she added.

Stone continued: “The narrator is always a significant decision for any series, but we were thrilled to work with Rebecca Ferguson – best known from Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation and Dune.”

Inside voiceover star’s career

Rebecca played opera singer Jenny Lind in The Greatest Showman, but she didn’t sing her character’s big musical number. Loren Allred provided the powerful vocals for Never Enough and gained popularity.

She starred as MI6 agent Ilsa Faust, opposite Tom Cruise, in three of the Mission: Impossible films: Rogue Nation in 2015 and 2018’s Fallout, and upcoming Dead Reckoning movie.

From the age of 13, she worked as a model and appeared in magazines and on television commercials for cosmetic, apparel, and jewellery advertisements. She then got into acting – and the rest is history!
