The 96th Academy Awards brings Hollywood's biggest stars and fashion's glitzest brands together for a weekend of over-the-top celebrations. Last night, on March 9th, a fabulous crowd of the Hollywood elite gathered at the Giorgio Armani boutique on Rodeo Drive for a private cocktail party hosted by Roberta Armani in celebration of director Martin Scorsese for his historic 10th Academy Award Nomination for Killers of the Flower Moon.
Any event that marries film and fashion will always deliver celebs decked to the nines, such as lead actress nominee Lily Gladstone in a sharp suit, Simona Tabasco of The White Lotus fame donned a strapless leather cocktail number, and rising star Lana Condor shimmered in a fitted little-black-dress with long crystallized sleeves.

Known for playing the loveable and relatable Lara Jean in Netflix's To All the Boys movie series, Condor also radiates her onscreen character's inviting glow in her style choices, often wearing flirty dresses and bold prints on the red carpet. When asked to describe how she thought Lara Jean would fare at an Oscars-related fashion event, Condor shares with us, "I fathom she would feel very out of place socially. I think she’d absolutely love all the fashion, but she’d feel intimidated and drained from the social aspect of the weekend."
She continues to say, "There is such a wide array of personalities and a lot of cameras and lights flashing, and she isn’t nearly as extroverted as a lot of the people you meet at these parties." Condor certainly was in a more confident mindset than Lara Jean would be at the Armani party, where we got a special peek at how she got ready for the evening's soiree with her three-person glam squad and her fiance, actor Anthony De La Torre.

Ahead, Condor exclusively tells InStyle all about her Giorgio Armani look, her personal style, and the team that helps bring it all together.
Her Style

"My style is always evolving, but right now, for everyday wear, I’m really drawn to pieces that are beautifully tailored, chic, and effortless while maintaining a sort of simple, peaceful vibe. A lot of what I’ve been wearing has been inspired by my recent trip to Japan. I love the simple pieces that really highlight impeccable tailoring. I tend to lean a little bit more into men’s wear in my day-to-day life as well."

"I love how classic and chic the brand is. I always feel so confident and elevated when I get to wear Armani. I wanted to wear something that felt like a perfect party dress while also feeling comfortable around industry professionals since it’s Oscar weekend! That is a tough outfit to put together, but Armani absolutely killed the look, and it was perfect for the night! I love how much the sleeves catch the light and sparkle."
The Bling
"I’m wearing very simple pieces because I feel like the dress has so much sparkle and shine that it speaks for itself. So I went with my engagement ring (of course!) and little diamond hoop huggies. My mom always says to wear a little sparkling on your ears because it lights up the face!"
The Glam

"I actually don’t listen to music to get ready for events like these. I absolutely love my glam team, Kat Thompson, Jenny Gomez, and Thuy Nguyen, so we mostly chat and laugh the entire time in glam’ve been working with the three of them for years. They’re incredibly talented artists and wonderful human beings. They always make me feel so beautiful and comfortable in my own skin, and I love them so much.:

"We really wanted a fresh face with a clean wing since the dress has so much dazzle. We love healthy, glowing skin, so Jenny spends time making sure my skin is prepped and moisturized before she does her magic! For hair, I really wanted it to feel like my hair was just pulled up in an undone updo, which is difficult to do, and Kat absolutely killed it! I love hair that you don’t have to fuss with or worry about too much in photos, so finding the perfect balance of undone while also keeping structure was the goal! And for nails, we went for an almost translucent silver glaze nail with my wonderful nail artist, Thuy! I love this look so much!"

"(During Oscars weekend) The energy is totally palpable! Everyone is excited to be out to celebrate the film, and everyone is in such a fun mood. It’s really fun to see all your friends dressed up and out as well! I loved getting to honor Martin Scorsese and Mr. Armani. Both of them are such incredible visionaries, and their work is so impactful and timeless, so it was so much fun getting to celebrate them."
