Kyle Shanahan, son of former NFL head coach Mike Shanahan, is an American professional football coach and former player. He played wide receiver at the University of Texas at Austin. As a coach, Shanahan started his career as a graduate assistant at UCLA in 2003.
He then moved on to become an offensive quality control coach for the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2004 to 2005. Shanahan was the wide receivers coach for the Houston Texans in 2005 and then became the team’s quarterbacks coach in 2007. He served as the offensive coordinator for the Texans from 2008 to 2009.
Shanahan went on to serve as the offensive coordinator for the Washington Redskins from 2010 to 2013 and later as the offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns in 2014. He became the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons in 2015 and 2016. In 2017, Shanahan became the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers.
As of 2021, Kyle Shanahan’s net worth is estimated to be around $4 million. In 2017, he signed a six-year $21 million contract with the 49ers, making his annual salary $3.5 million.
