Kiera Jackson's Women's Volleyball Recruiting Profile

Personal Statement

I was born and raised in Jackson Hole Wyoming and love to ski, camp and mountain bike. I danced for 10 years in ballet, pointe and modern which I believe helps with my coordination, timing and grace on the court.  I started playing volleyball when I was in 5th grade at the local rec center, and started club volleyball with Jackson Elite Volleyball in 6th grade.  I have a 4.0 GPA and have earned 2 biliteracy awards for Spanish through the dual immersion program which I have been in since elementary school.  I will graduate high school with college credits toward Spanish courses due to the AP Spanish courses I am taking in my current high school.  I plan to attend summer camps with education programs that travel abroad and will also offer college credits that are transferable.  I am interested in playing volleyball at the next level to keep my love for the sport continuing while I also will look deeply into a strong academic program.

I am described by coaches to be dedicated and hardworking.  I attend a strength class 3x a week and in addition to jump training, and love the gym and putting forth hard work. I have seen my strength program play off in my level of play, especially as I enter my sophomore year.  I will be a middle blocker and one of the 3 top hitters on our team for Varsity this 2023 season.  Additionally, I will be setting for JV team, and am described as a 6 rotational player who has great court sense and all around volleyball skills.
