Personal Statement
Ever since I was a young boy swinging my first plastic bat, I developed a sincere passion for the game of baseball. Each time I step out onto the ball field, I feel a rush of adrenaline and excitement. Nothing makes me happier than waking up on Championship Sunday and playing a tripleheader. I especially love being part of a team and playing along with others who share the same competitive spirit and deep desire to win. Fortunately, over the past several years, I’ve played with many dedicated and supportive teammates. We’ve shared our experience and individual talents among the group which led to very strong team performance. No matter how tough the competition, I always try to remain focused on the game while understanding the importance of positive thinking and enthusiasm. I believe this positive attitude encouraged my teammates to be optimistic and motivated as well.
Baseball has always been a part of my life and I plan for it to continue as I complete my remaining time in high school, throughout college and beyond. I’m a quick learner, very coachable, and willing to do whatever it takes to improve individually in order to build a successful career in baseball. I’m extremely ambitious and am willing to dedicate myself to both my academics and baseball. During my high school years, I have been taking AP and accelerated honors classes successfully achieving a 98+ overall average. This has been accomplished while maintaining a structured training schedule, whether it’s in the cages, on the mound, or in the weight room during the off-season. Upon entering college, I plan to pursue a business major in addition to remaining focused on baseball. I’m looking to attend a suitable College which will provide me the opportunity to receive a degree in Business Management and to pursue my dream to play baseball at a professional level someday.
