Personal Statement
My time is centered around playing basketball, academics, playing/writing music, computers and church youth group. My short term goals are to continue academic and athletic development through high school in preparation for a successful collegiate academic and basketball career. I am ambidextrous and shoot equally with both hands around the basket but am also comfortable shooting the 12-15 ft jumper or 3 pointer. I play the 5, 4 and 3 positions depending on game conditions but I like playing physically inside best. Many years of competitive soccer growing up helped me develop footwork and speed getting up and down the court. Playing on previous championship teams has fueled my desire and given me the knowledge to know how to win in highly competitive games. In prior years, archery was a significant pursuit with success finishing 2nd in the state NCNFAA Indoor Archery State Tournament-Recurve Bow three consecutive years. However, I have given up formal archery competition and performing in a band started by my brother and I in order to spend more time developing as a basketball player. I am a seven time team starter, two time Team Captain, ten time AAU MVP, three time NCHEAC Conference and Regional Champion, NCHEAC All-Region selection and one time team NCHEAC State Champion. I know how to help a team win. I have multiple interests but my passion is basketball.
