Hailey Bieber's Dad Asked Fans to Pray for Her and Justin

Stephen Baldwin caused Justin and Hailey Bieber fans to be somewhat alarmed this week after reposting a video to his Instagram that requested followers and Christians to pray for his daughter and her pop star husband.

"Christians, please when you think of Justin & Hailey, take a moment to offer a little prayer for them to have wisdom, protection and to draw close to the Lord," a Feb. 26 Instagram Reel from Victor Marx — founder of The All Things Possible Ministry — read. "There are special challenges that folks in high visibility positions face." Baldwin reposted the Reel to his Instagram Story without an additional comment.

Marx explained his reasoning for the video in its caption, writing, “I seldom like to post about certain folks in the limelight because of the negative comments we get…There are special challenges that folks in high visibility positions face and also the enemy doesn’t want them to draw closer to Jesus. So often regardless of the material things or the accolades they often face spiritual warfare that intense and seeks to ship-wreck their faith, marriage and life in general. So thank you.”

While there were no specific circumstances to prompt a prayer — at least, that fans publicly know about — the "Sorry" singer has needed to take a step back from the limelight in recent years following his Ramsey Hunt Syndrome diagnosis, which in Bieber's own words, "attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis."

Bieber has been out and about lately, even attending the Super Bowl in Las Vegas earlier this month with Hailey, but opted out of joining Usher on stage for a mentor-mentee reunion during the halftime show.
