Personal Statement
My name is Grant Nicholas Sicard and I am currently playing at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I am a 5'10, 170 pound left footed forward/winger. I am looking to transfer into a top Division 1 or Division 2 university as I am mainly looking for playing time right away. I currently am playing as a left back at UIC, however I am going to be more interested in schools that look at me as more of an attacking player as it is where I feel most natural and love to play the most.
I played my senior year of high school at Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida which is located just outside of Orlando. It is gaining a larger reputation every year for its sports programs, especially the soccer program. They have been nationally ranked as the best soccer team in the nation five years in a row and haven't lost to another high school since 2010.
I graduated from high school with a 3.2 GPA and a 1820 SAT. My freshman year of college has been rough with a lot of illnesses which led to a 2.0 GPA my first semester. However, this current semester I am looking to improve my GPA for the year to at least a 2.5. I would make a great fit for any team because I am a player who never stops working, hustling, and hassling the opposition until the final whistle. I have always had very good stamina, speed, and physical attributes my entire life which has helped me immensely thus far.
