Meet Meryl and Andrew (they love 2000’s music)
We are first introduced to 60-year-old Meryl, who wants to share her passion for dancing at clubs with a new man. She has been single for 11 years and regularly goes on nights out in her hometown Wirral, in Liverpool.
Meryl is matched with Andrew, 60, from Whitfield. He had a hip replacement a few years ago and hasn’t stopped getting his boogie on every since…
And let’s not forget Meryl’s baking the cake dance move she pulled out in her introduction. Let’s have a look back at the pair pulling out their dancing skills – who won the dance off?

Music-loving Meryl and her dancing date Andrew
Meryl and Andrew hit it off straight away, as they both revealed they had never been on a blind date before. While Andrew hadn’t been on a date for 30 years, Meryl hadn’t sat down with a stranger for half a decade.
They later bonded over being on their own, with Meryl telling the story of how her former husband Tom had passed away and how Andrew had felt lonely when he dropped his son off to university.
However, their spirits were lifted when they shared their love of music… particularly for current music with hard-hitting beats. Now is when the most memorable moment of the entire date takes place.

Did the couple boogie into the night?
The episode finished with Andrew paying for the bill before Meryl returns from the bathroom. Firstly, what a sweetheart, and secondly, Meryl soon reveals that he is the “perfect gentleman”.
The pair announce they would like to see each other again. Meryl then invites him to Liverpool! They later discuss going to Ibiza if partying up north goes well…
Are they still dating?
It was revealed at the end of the episode that the pair were preparing for their night in Liverpool, where Meryl would show Andrew her baking the cake move.
However it is not known if Meryl and Andrew are still cutting shapes on the dancefloor together!
