Eddy Cue: Net Worth and Career
Eddy Cue, born in October 1964, is an American businessman with a net worth of $200 million. He is the senior vice president of Internet Software and Services at Apple, and oversees the iTunes Store, Apple Music, the iBooks Store, Apply Pay, Maps, Siri, and more. Cue joined Apple in 1989 and played a significant role in creating the Apple online store in 1998, followed by the iTunes Store in 2003 and the App Store in 2008.
Cue graduated from Duke University and previously worked as a software engineering and customer support manager at Apple. In 2014, he received the Spirit of Life Award from City of Hope. Cue was called on to testify at the antitrust case against Apple regarding conspiring on eBook pricing. According to company filings, Cue earned a total compensation of $178 million between 2011 and 2016. While his 2017 compensation was not disclosed, it is believed to be $30 million. Additionally, Cue owns unvested stock that increases in value and size as Apple’s stock increases in value.
