Personal Statement
Soccer is something that I've grown up with since I was four years old. I began playing on a small rec team coached by my father, but now I am a starter on my high school varsity team and have played two years in the Midwest Regional League. One of the best games I ever played in was when my club team played against the MSOE men's soccer team. Their head coach, Jimmy Banks, used to coach at my club and set up the match. Although we lost 2-3, I was able to play against college players and was able to keep up with their pace and talent. Some of my best qualities include having a great understanding of the game, having a great vision of the field, my speed, my strength, and my technical knowledge and skills. One of my biggest high school accomplishments outside of sports was when my We The People team placed tenth in the nation, which tied our school's previous record. My team and I were able to travel to Washington D.C. and compete against schools from all over the country in a debate competition that is focused on the Constitution and how government works.
