Personal Statement
I have a deep passion for football, it's more than playing the game for me. I am a student of the game, since my time in middle school I have played 4 different positions, DE, DT, OG and ILB. I understand how the game works and it allows me to know how to react when things happen in an efficient way. While being a student of the game is something that does set me apart from my peers, I feel the one thing that provides a Coach with a better understanding of my dedication to the sport I love is....
My Sophomore year, I was moved up to Varsity and the 2nd practice of the year I tore my ACL on a non-contact drill, not only was my ACL torn but I continued the drill until the trainer pulled me from practice. I spent the next 6 months waking up at 6 am 4 days a week going to a Physical Therapist, it was painful, slow going but all I wanted to do was come back better than I was for my Junior year, 9 months after surgery I was cleared for full contact again.
My junior year was also the first time I have ever played Offensive Line, I should add that I beat out a Senior for the Starting OG position. I am dedicated and driven to be a success in everything I do. I have held the same job since I was 14, I work 1 day a week during school and 5 days a week in the summer. You won't find a harder worker than me!
