Bryn Tomczak's Women's Track Recruiting Profile

Personal Statement

I look forward to college as a tool to further my education, as well as pursue a higher level of athletics. Although I do not have specific majors in mind at this point in my high school career, I am beginning to create a path for myself towards that decision.
Leaving college, I want to have the satisfaction of knowing that I will be a far better track and field athlete then I was before. With that being said, also having the education that I strive to have even now as a high school student is necessary factor in that satisfaction.

As for what makes me a good candidate for a college level team, my most prominent feature is that I do not shy away in the face of adversity. I love the team aspect of track, yet being alone on the lanes does not bring the fear for me that it could give to others.

Academics can often feel second string to athletics, which I am open in admitting, but the pursuit of athletic achievement can only be fueled by an equal balance in school as well. The areas in education that I am interested in honing my abilities in are things I would love to learn more about everyday, eventually leading to a career after a complete college education.
