Personal Statement
I compete in three sports (football, basketball and baseball). However, baseball is my passion and the sport I think about all year round. I have been fortunate to grow up in a town that has a rich sports tradition and I have been a captain or leader on many winning teams. On every team I have been a part of, I have contributed a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and the willingness to play any position that will help the team win. I have been a top pitcher on my teams since I began playing travel ball when I was eight but I also pride myself on my defense in the outfield. I was one of two Freshman to be invited to travel with the Varsity team to kick-off the season in Dodgertown, Florida in March (unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown our season two weeks before we left).
Ever since I can remember, my goal has been to play baseball in college and, no matter how busy I am with other sports, academics and extra-curricular activities, I work hard to keep up my baseball training. I have the desire to learn as much as I can to improve my skills and have been trained by some of the best coaches in New Jersey. I relish the big moments in a game and pride myself on maintaining my composure and focus at all times.
Despite my intensity when competing, I have a good natured personality and enjoy having fun with my teammates. I push myself academically and have achieved High Honors in each quarter in high school. I am looking forward to finding a school that will allow me to have a well-rounded experience. Thank you for viewing my profile!
