Personal Statement
Soccer has been my life since I was 4 years old. Growing up in a Portuguese immigrant household has taught me to appreciate what others may take for granted, such as an education or owning your own home. I was taught from an early age to show respect for others, look someone in the eyes, and give a firm handshake when meeting someone. Growing up in a hard working family has taught me to play passionately when I'm on the soccer field. I was the captain for my travel team while at Trumbull United and since playing for Beachside Soccer Club have placed in a variety of tournaments. I am a versatile player, and adapt quickly in any situation. I not only put my time on the field, but my hard work is reflected in the classroom, where I will strive to reach my educational goals. I am looking for a team that possess similiar qualities that I value; to work as a cohesive unit, be self-motivated, and have the drive to succeed.
