It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Audrey Davis, a beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Friend who transitioned to be with the Lord on April 28, 2023. Audrey was born on November 11, 1940, her vivacious and compassionate spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Audrey was a woman of many talents and interests. Her main hobbies and interest consisted of playing the flute and reading the Bible. She was fun, funny, stern, and assertive, always knowing how to command a room while keeping everyone entertained. Her faith in God was a central part of her life and she shared the lessons of the Bible with others. Audrey encouraged everyone to remember the Word of God and live by its teachings.
Throughout her life, Audrey achieved many accomplishments. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in science from Virginia State College and worked as a 5th-grade teacher, a profession she genuinely loved. Later, she retired as a social worker, a role she also found great satisfaction in. Audrey’s work extended beyond her career; she ministered the word of Jesus throughout Canada and the United States providing spiritual guidance and support to those in need.
Audrey’s legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and love. She will be truly missed by her family, Lisa Y. Davis-Harrell her one and only child, son in Law John J. Harrell, Grandson Joshua J. Harrell, Granddaughter Joy C. Harrell, Great Granddaughter Harley R. Harrell, three brothers Delbert Rowell, Leslie Rowell, Rodney Rowell, and host of nephews who survives her. Audrey’s dedication to her faith and the devotion she showed to those around her, will live on in our hearts and memories.
As we bid farewell to Audrey Davis, we celebrate the life she lived and cherish the memories and lessons she left behind. She touched countless lives during her time on earth and her gentle spirit will continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace, Audrey. You will be forever missed by your family and friends.
