Atlanta cops still quiet on rapper Yung Mazi’s unsolved homicide

It's been nearly five months since Atlanta rapper Yung Mazi was gunned down yards from a police station in Kirkwood. But police are still tight-lipped about the investigation.

Asked Friday if there were any suspects or a possible motive, an Atlanta Police Department spokesman said: “Currently there is no new information to provide regarding this case.”

The 31-year-old Conyers resident, whose given name was Jibril Abdur-Rahman, was shot multiple times while leaving Urban Pie pizza. The killer fled while passersby saw the body on Hosea L. Williams Drive near the rapper’s white 2015 Mercedes sedan.
