The full statement from Hartsfield-Jackson said:

Sunday’s severe weather impacted operations across the southeast. With inclement weather expected to hit the northeast today, passengers are urged to monitor their airlines for information regarding flight status. As always, ATL.com will provide updated parking information and security wait times.

Several passengers in Atlanta posted videos to social media of long lines to accommodate people with canceled flights.

ONE @Delta ticket agent working the desk with easily more than 200 stranded travelers, waiting in line. And this is just C terminal. Shameful.

B gates at #ATL same. I’ve never seen anything like this. Line went from B6 to B30 (that’s extremely far if you know ATL) #delta #atlanta #atlantaairport @Delta

1 am and I’m currently stranded in the Atlanta airport with no hotel or food. This is about 1/3 of the line to get assistance from @Delta

Many people also reported issues from Sunday night, with flights being diverted or arriving and being unable to get to gate. Among those reporting these situations was state Rep. Teri Anulewicz, who said her husband's flight from San Francisco was diverted to Little Rock, Arkansas.

My husband was inbound from @flySFO and his @Delta flight was diverted to Little Rock.
