Artimus Pyle: Drummer of Lynyrd Skynyrd
Artimus Pyle, American musician and former drummer of Lynyrd Skynyrd, has a net worth of $3 million. Born in Louisville, Kentucky in July 1948, Pyle served in the United States Marine Corps before joining the band. He survived the 1977 plane crash that killed three members of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Pyle and the band released their debut studio album (Pronounced Leh-nerd Skin-nerd) in 1973, which was certified 2x Platinum. Other Skynyrd hits included “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Free Bird”.
In 1982, Pyle toured with the Artimus Pyle Band and they released three albums. He participated in the Skynyrd Tribute tour and recorded on the album Lynyrd Skynyrd 1991. However, in 1993, he was arrested for attempted capital sexual battery and lewd assault on two female children. Pyle plead no contest and registered as a sex offender.
