Ariel Cox's Women's Basketball Recruiting Profile

Personal Statement

During my sophomore year, my team and I passed many goals for our girls team that have not shown up in our program for many years. We were one game away from being division champs and one game away from being in our states 3A final playoff games in the "Big House".  Since then, I've had an urge to get back to where we were and go even further, possibly even get a ring. I have not always wanted to play college basketball, but when I started thinking about what I wanted my college experience to be like, I knew it wouldn't be complete without basketball.

My collegiate goal would be to continue playing basketball while maintaining my studies. I believe no matter what I'm doing that I will always work hard. Part of what makes me a good player is that I'm very coachable, and constantly look to improve in areas where needed. I also try to act as a leader on my team and set an example for my other teammates. During high school, I have learned how to be a true student-athlete. Over time I've learned how to keep up my grades and manage to play sports year round. It is not always easy but I'm always determined to get it done. Although I have not played travel ball or on other any teams, I still have the same abilities as the people who do, plus more.
