Personal Statement
I have been playing competitive soccer for nearly six years, plus recreational play since I was four. I was selected as an 8th grader to be a player on the Los Alamos Girl’s Varsity Soccer team. I have been the starter on my local club team since 2017. I now play for a premiere Albuquerque team called Albuquerque United FC Thorns. I have balanced this demanding 3-hour travel time commitment with a 4.2 GPA this year. My AUFC team competed in three nationwide tournaments with one resulting in a complete shutout and placing first in our bracket. In summary, my Varsity time resulted in a captain band, three personal awards, nearly 66 GP, 3500 minutes, 306 saves, a 1.56 GAA, a 4A State finals appearance, the State Semifinals twice, and State Quarterfinals twice. We are back-to-back-to-back New Mexico District 2-4A champions. I was selected as a NM First Team All-State Goalkeeper this year.
I am dedicated to working hard and challenging myself to learn new skills; to expanding my knowledge; to supporting teammates through tough challenges; and to continue striving to reach my goal, no matter how many times I fail along the way.
