Ambrose Given Obituary, Death – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ambrose Given, of Knockagarron, Convoy , at the Donegal Hospice after a brief illness. Ambrose, predeceased by his son Ambrose, departed this world surrounded by the love of his family on [insert date]. Ambrose was a beloved husband to Sheila and a loving father to his daughters Patricia (Kevin), Marion (George), Helena (Alan), Clare (Michael), and Catherine (Fionn).
His devotion extended to being a cherished grandfather to Ciara, Luke, Ríannagh, Caitlin, Rory, and Síofra. His love and warmth touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of fond memories. He will be deeply missed by his surviving brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of extended family, neighbors, and countless friends. Ambrose was known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for those around him.
His remains will repose at his home from 3 pm today, Tuesday. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, 28th, with the funeral leaving from his home at 11:15 am for a 12 pm Requiem Mass at St Mary’s Church, Convoy. Following the Mass, Ambrose will be laid to rest in the family plot in the old graveyard in Convoy.
During this difficult time, the family requests privacy from 10 pm to 11 am and on the morning of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed and can be made to the Donegal Hospice, care of Terence McClintock Funeral Director. As we say our goodbyes, let us remember Ambrose for the love he shared, the joy he brought, and the lasting impact he had on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
