Abigail Woodfill's Softball Recruiting Profile

Personal Statement

Hello Coaches and peers!

My name is Abigail Woodfill. All of my teammates call me Woody. I have been playing softball since I was 4 years old and I take pride in my high softball IQ and knowledge of the game. I am a very competitive person on and off the field, doing my best in anything I take part in. I have been a multi-sport athlete for my whole life and it has taught me a wide range of life skills such as time management. I take the skills I have learned from playing sports my whole life and implement them into helping my community. I have completed an internship at my old elementary school for a youth program. I am also a part of Link Crew at my high school where we help in welcoming incoming freshmen to make the transition to high school smooth and comfortable for them. I am also a part of FFA Wrecking Crew where  I help run and set up FFA events such as socials, charity events, and meetings. All while I partake in these activities I maintain a 3.8 GPA and I make time to train and practice on my own time. I am a great asset to any team because I am a leader. Not only am I the most vocal player on the field but I am the type of leader to lead by example. Always having energy, being positive, and knowing the difference between a bossy leader and a confident leader. I hold myself to a high standard and always push myself to be the best version of myself on the field, in the classroom, and even with friends. I have been told by all of my previous coaches that I bring an energy to the game they have never seen before. I have been called a true teammate by so many coaches. I have so much passion and love for the game of softball and I would be honored to showcase that to any coach at the college level. Thank you for spending the time to read about me! I hope to hear from you soon coaches!
