Aaron Kromer Arrested: Latest Details, Mugshot on Buffalo Bills Offensive Coach | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors

Buffalo Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer, 48, was arrested on July 12 in Walton County, Florida, on a misdemeanor battery charge after he allegedly punched a boy in the face and threatened to kill his family.

The Bills have since placed Kromer on leave as the team and league investigate the incident.

Kromer Enters Not Guilty Plea

Kromer will appear in Walton County, Florida, court on Sept. 2 for a pretrial hearing, after entering a written plea of not guilty for a misdemeanor battery charge, according to Mike Rodak of ESPN.com.

Bills Set to Part Ways With Kromer

Joe Buscaglia of WKBW reported "according to sources, the Bills are likely to part ways with Kromer as one of the team's key positional coaches. Kromer had been charged with a misdemeanor count of battery after an incident involving three minors outside his Florida beach home."

Bills Reportedly Finishing Investigation Into Kromer's Arrest

Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News reported a decision could be made by the end of the week and that if Kromer is dismissed, assistant offensive line coach Walt Anderson would likely be named as a replacement.

Kromer is currently on paid administrative leave as the team looks into his arrest, with Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports passing along a statement from team president Russ Brandon regarding the decision:

"I'm not going to add anything to what we've already released as a team," Ryan said. "A lot of the process is still going on."

Asked about his plans to replace Kromer, who was placed on indefinite paid administrative leave Tuesday, Ryan said, "like I said, I'm not gonna go into anything else." 

Kromer, Son Charged with Battery

Walton County Sheriff's office spokeswoman said they are also pursuing charges against Kromer's son, Zack, who allegedly placed his hands around the throat of a friend of the boy who claimed to be assaulted by the Bills coach, according to Garafolo.

On July 12, Walton County Sheriff Michael A. Adkinson Jr. detailed the incident on his Facebook page:

According to Garafolo, the Walton County Sheriff's Office confirmed "the boy Aaron Kromer allegedly punched is a juvenile."

Kromer has been in the NFL since 2001 and served as the New Orleans Saints interim head coach for six games in 2012. He is entering his first season with the Bills after spending the previous two years as offensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears.
